Eternal Father

How pleasant is your love O Lord, from the time of my birth you knew me and  saw my nakedness and found my son. You bore my sins on the Cross and arose from the grave to show me the path to your salvation.

Forsaken, and ridiculed yet you make me the object of your love,
You overwhelmed me with your love and indulge me with your affection.

When the mountains forbade the way and the seas stood against me and with all other obstacles ahead of me yet You shook the earth for a season to bless me.

When I fell, bruised up and battered,
You hunch down the valley to pull me up. You comfort me and bind my wounds, carrying me over to a place of victory when I can no longer stand.

Bursting in joy, though shrunken of the water by the lack of rain,  the terrible famine that caused even the young lions to be famished, yet You fed me when I was hungry, You clothed me when I was naked.

The condition is widespread,  the cry of the children heard from a distance, yet you pay diligent attention to my cry, you inquired about me and gloat over me as if I was You're only child.

When in my journey of life becomes weary and the torns and thistles, protrude my side,  You come to my rescue and with your healing Balm You sooth my pains.

Yet, ridding me of self pity, placing me near the furnace to strengthen me. For a few moment, You will say I only intended it for good My Son, soon you will be purified like gold.

When I fall asleep, You Lord will be at the other side of eternity to hold me in Your arms.

You are my forever Father, eternal God. You are my Rock,  my Deliverer, My Stronghold,  and My Shield.

For my life is truly yours O Lord,  to You only do I belong, lead me by your Spirit O Lord, let me live for you for My life is only yours O Lord,  only in You will I rest.

Anger at injustice

Lord - There are six things You hate, one is abominable.  I looked around and I see more evil, I see a haughty heart and a lying tongue all plundering the poor.

Moreover, a wicked heart full of mischief ruling with a hot iron.  Although you hate a false balance, yet it is every man for himself, they eat from a poor man's table and leave no crumbs, lying lips you hate but I see a liar who eats his delicacies by lying to his poor neighbor.

The unjust man plunders and loots, while he fills his house with treasures produced through the sweat glands of the poor.

Lord arise and fight for the poor.
The mountainous barriers cannot be removed, it is staged on their way, the carnivores have eaten their flesh and devour them like vultures.  There I stood and watched as a watchman standing on guard,  for their hands are tied up and with a painfully soiled hands there reach out, they cried day in and day out!

But no one to rescue,

I marveled as the world turns south, Those that remained,  some wonder whether you even care or whether you even exist.  As evil is encroaching, doubts circulates,  hearts being harden, My faith still remains strong.
While the voice of justice,  is being silenced from the poor. Yet my hope  awaits upon you.

but for me I see the end, the wrath of the lamb,  the unjust, you will be punished and be brought low.  They will not stand in your congregation,  the congregation of the righteous.

The mighty men will see the mightier One, and they will throw away their possession.   They will come into a hideout and beg the mountains to fall on them,  and Angel with swiftness will bury the wicked in the pool of his own blood.
The Lord alone will deliver his own, No
longer will they beg for bread but will have enough and will lie down in safety.

PERSPECTIVE

PERSPECTIVE
by Stephen. A Ibeh

The Critic, the Fault Finder and the Whiner all went to the market.
They saw an apple. The Critic says that the apple is too small, and needed a bigger apple, the Fault Finder looked around the apple, points it out a spot on apple, the Whiner seeing the spot begins to cried out that the apple is rotten and therefore cannot eat it. The Gratitude seeing the apple, pays for it, gave thanks, and ate the apple and as he walked off says to himself, " This is the most delicious apple I have ever tasted!
