Growing up gracefully

It is good growing old gracefully,  but not when you've lost all your sense of reasoning. There is a saying that the older you get, the more wiser you become. There's another saying that the wiser you become, the older you get.  The second one is always true ; the first one is not always correct. There are many people, as they get older they just age but do not learn anything from past experiences. They kept repeating the same mistakes over and over again and when they open their mouths you know that wisdom is nowhere to be found but all folly.
We called them old fools. Some say that there's no fool like an old fool. Experiences do educate but  experiences do not reprimand. Knowledge can be accumulated but knowledge is also  an inpatient virtue,  and if you don't practice it, you will lose it.
You hear every word of wisdom and folly all at once, every moment, and everyday. The choice you make today propels you further or backward but never constant.
Be wise today or tomorrow you will sit down with fools. And when you have aged, you have very little to pass down to the next generation.  Thus, you've wasted all your learning moments in doing other things other than listening. So for the young, when you are around wise and experienced folks, keep your mouth shut and your ears open; so to get knowledge and understanding. Do not miss your learning moments by talking it away.
But also, you can age physically but if your inner man is not strengthened by the word of God; you are still a baby spiritually. Life experiences does not substitute spiritual maturity.
