There was a man that brought good tidings to the poor. On the seat he stood not as the Judge. In justification, he was scourged and put to death.
Once a man nobody knew, intolerable to his kindred, but in times foreordained. He is to come and deliver the greatest story.
Who knew such a man? Where does he come from and where is his lineage?
He was sold to the wicked merchant at a price of a slave and a kiss by a trusted friend who shared his bread.
Now at the hands of his despisers with their harden souls; all has named his fate.
Named as an infidel, a charlatan and a rebellion to the custom of men, sentenced to die without a trial.
He was dressed as a sheep for the slaughter, for the keepers of the house has delivered him to the bulls of Bashan.
Nobody was to come to his defense because his death is to be profitable for all men.
Although he loved them with an outstretched hand, yet they impart their anger with grievous words and girded him with hatred.
Who was he? Where did he come from? Where is his lineage?
A man with no reputation to uphold, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
As opposition increased, they rent his garments, while the gentiles washed-out his blood.
And when the blood that spilled couldn't eased their murderous appetite, they took the prince and nailed him to a cross.
As physicians gathered they marvelled at the sight of his sufferings. No man has ever seen such one defamed.
Who was he? Where did he come from? Where is his lineage?
His grave was marked unknown because he is to rise and mend the broken hearts.
He was laden with sin to be sinful for us. He is to die a sinners death though he knew no sin.
