The Cry of the Martyrs

Father help us, the world has closed their ears on our suffering; they have chosen to shut their eyes to even look at our pain.
We are men who have walked in the way of the Righteous and have felt the sting of the scorpions.
They regarded us not as worthy of life but in their anger, have stripped away all our dignity and has cast us away like the scum of the Earth.
With teary eyes we looked up to heaven but Your response was silent.
We were led one to another, shoulder to shoulder toward the valley of slaughter.
On the banks of the river where the blood of our brethren was washed out, the cruel forgot mercy but raised their hand on Your people.
They profaned Your name and Your Son Jesus Christ and with hatred, they spilled our blood in vain.
Now Lord, arise and strengthen our backs; let us as we march, stand with our heads held high.
Let us follow the path of those who have left a good witness on Earth. They have run the race of life and have been found worthy to receive Your reward.
Help us in this perilous hour; for the river of blood is flowing through the whole surface of the land.
They have spared none of these ones who called upon Your name.
