Sing to me a new song,
Not the song of the angels,
Not the song of the choir,
Not the song of the musicians,
Not the song of the congregation
But the song from your heart
I cut you out from the midst of them.
Placed you in my palms, engraved my love in your heart
For my love dwells within you, in the innermost parts,
I am now your audience, I found you , I cleansed you, I cherished you, you are mine, like the pebble I smoothed you and shaped you with water and sand.
I am the blacksmith, who forged you with chiseled and hammer.
I am the potter, I molded you in the wheel. I am the one that kept you, I am the one that shielded you, I am the one that fed you, I am the one that clothed your nakedness, I have formed you in my image, I have sent my Son to die for you, I have sent my Spirit to guide you.
Sing me a new song, not the song of the angels, not the song of the choir, not the song of the musicians, nor from the congregation, but a song from your heart.
