The Unwelcome Guest

A man in his dungeon after being cast into Hades. This is his story.

The door of the dungeon rattling.

Man begins to talk.

Now who comes into this darkness and with what news can he actually bring forth?

I came into the world with purpose, but I've wasted my years and now I am just but a shell and a mere shadow.

I remembered my mother's sweet voice, so calmly and with a heartfelt concern, she told me about the stories of the Bible.

I taught about it for a second, then I dismissed her words.

She was the only person who ever loved me enough to tell me the truth.
How I wish I would embrace her once again, and hear her stories once more. Now I have seen this hell she had always mentioned.

My mother was right; hell was indeed real.

Meanwhile as he was speaking a stranger came into his dungeon.

Now I have heard your story and on the contrary nobody ever told about this place, the stranger replied and the continued.

I was hoping that my good works will at least lead me to Paradise but there is no such place.

All I have done was to help the poor and needy and mind my business.

I didn't care too much about the church and all that stuff.

But can you tell me why I am here again?

Well I rejected the truth but you didn't bother to search for the truth, man responded.

What is the truth? Replied the stranger.
