Growing old gracefully is a good thing, but losing your sense of reasoning with age is not. Some believe that the older you get, the wiser you become, but this is not always true. Some people simply age without learning anything from their past experiences, repeating the same mistakes again and again. When they speak, there is no wisdom to be found, only folly. These people are often referred to as old fools. Knowledge can be accumulated, but it's an impatient virtue. If it's not practiced, you will lose it. As you age, you may have little to pass down to the next generation if you waste your learning moments by doing things other than listening to God's word and commandments.
